Steve Six Endorsed by Kansas Law Enforcement

Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Steve Six for Attorney General.

Citing his successful record of restoring trust to the office of Attorney General, the Kansas State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) today announced their endorsement of Steve Six for Attorney General

"The Kansas FOP is proud to endorse Attorney General Steve Six," said Pete Fogarty, Kansas FOP President.   "Steve Six has worked tirelessly to restore the integrity and independence of the Attorney General's office.  We can't go back now."

Attorney General Six said it was an honor to be endorsed so early in the campaign season.  "I am honored by the enthusiastic support I have received from Kansas law enforcement.  I look forward to partnering with them in the future to ensure that the results we have achieved continue," Six said.

The Kansas State Lodge FOP currently represents over 3,150 rank-and-file law enforcement officers in Kansas.  The FOP is one of the nation's oldest and most prominent law enforcement groups representing 325,000 members nationwide.

Since taking office, Six has adopted an independent approach to the office.  "I will continue to advocate for the right priorities:  public safety, consumer protection and cracking down on government fraud and waste.  I am proud of my record of real results and honored that Kansas law enforcement stands beside me,"  Six said.

The general election endorsement was made at the annual FOP conference in Great Bend earlier this month.

"Steve Six has built a strong record of protecting Kansans, and that record stood out when we considered issues important to law enforcement.  Quite simply: Steve Six puts public safety first," Fogarty concluded.
